Microsurgical Technology, Inc. (MST) is seeking a Sr Project Manager of Strategic Projects to join our team in Redmond, WA.  Reporting to the Sr. Director of Quality and Regulatory, the Project Manager will manage the program portfolio to support achievement of strategic priorities and business growth across Product Development, Quality and Operations.  In addition to day-to-day program and project management, the successful candidate will actively engage with Senior Management on reports out of execution priorities, budgeting, risk mitigation, milestone setting, performance KPIs as well as champion best project management practices throughout the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

The position may be required to perform all, or a combination of the following essential responsibilities as determined by necessity.

  • Ensure appropriate prioritization of portfolio, target achievement and cross business alignment to execute business strategies and achieve growth.
  • Drive development and progress of portfolio/program strategy, goals, metrics, and dashboards
  • Lead and run long-term projects that require coordination and oversight of resources pre and post capital investment approval
  • Highlight areas of project risk and facilitate discussions to keep projects on schedule
  • Ensure projects meet critical achievements on time and on budget with timely communication between teams and senior management
  • Ensure standard methodologies of Program Management are followed with the goal of delivering products of high quality and value to the organization and customers
  • Drive process improvements and best practices related to Project Management in accordance with our quality management system and with our Design Control processes.
  • Help create and update project documents when needed to ensure compliance with design controls
  • Facilitate design reviews and document reviews
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings, create meeting minutes, and track key action items
  • Review project documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in a medical device design and manufacturing company. PMP certification and portfolio management preferred.
  • Expert understanding of Medical Device Design Controls for FDA and EU MDR
  • Experience escalating issues and presenting to Executive Management
  • Working knowledge, understanding and experience of Quality Management Systems compliant with 21 CFR 820, EU MDR, ISO 13485:2016, and ISO 14971 processes
  • Ability to create detailed schedules, facilitate discussions to drive problem-solving, and help the team meet its timelines for design, development, verification, and validation activities.
  • Possess effective written, verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

Pay range for this exempt position is $110K – $120K/year.  The pay range is the general base range for a successful candidate in the State of Washington.  The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
